There are moments that stay with you-not because they were grand, but because they were real. Our recent Dost retreat was full of such moments. And as I sit back at my desk, far from the warmth of shared meals and late-night conversations, I find myself holding on to a single feeling: dost ho to aisa.

Being a person who used to think of value in keeping work and personal life separate, goa retreat was a new experience to explore. In this retreat, I explored different forms of communication that I did not know existed.

All of us at Dost had been working hard to bring the responsive caregiving programme to more than 40,000 low-income parents in India. While we had been working closely with each other, most of us had never met each other in person! But come 22nd November, we changed that.

It sounds obvious, but really listening to caregivers is the key, not-so-secret ingredient to our product design process.

On March 19, 2020, as the world was crashing down into a state of emergency, I became a mom.

We are thrilled to announce that the LEGO Group is collaborating with Dost to take our early learning program across the country to impact the lives of 50,000+ children and families!

Covid and quarantine has been difficult for all of us. The uncertainty is mentally, physically and emotionally taxing. Especially for someone like me, who is practically a single working mother of 2 young kids.

After working closely with founders in my earlier jobs, I was nervous to work with my Manager who was remote. To top it off, we had the first 3 Covid cases in Delhi on my first day at the office.

Everywhere I look - print, TV, websites - I only see one word. The word is so omnipresent that I don’t even need to mention it, and yet you know what I am trying to say.

From the moment we wake up to the time we go to bed, there is one word which is omnipresent in our life currently - COVID 19.

Our monitoring goal was to understand if our users like the school readiness practices we recommend, if they adopt them at home and if they see an impact on their child.

It is always inspiring to meet one’s peers and learn from them, and this opportunity was recently presented to 12 nonprofits at the Chat For Impact accelerator
